I'll be performing a number of times this summer in Saratoga, mainly at One Caroline Street, but also at the Mouzon House and at 9 Maple Ave (with the Mike Wicks Quartet). Things get started on Thursday July 9 at 7:30 with a solo performance at One Caroline Street. Check back shortly for my full summer schedule.

Bop School Jazz Masterclass will be beginning soon. Several years ago after meeting many fans and students who were asking where they could go to sit in or find other like minded musicians to play with I decided to create a solution for them. Bop School Jazz Masterclass is an opportunity to get together and play in a weekly session under my guidance. These sessions are not so much instruction in jazz improvisation but rather carefully directed opportunities to explore the dynamics of a 'real world' jazz performance in a fun, no-pressure ensemble setting. This is a great chance to get together and play and network with other musicians who love to play jazz but might not be interested in pursuing it as a professional career or who may feel they're not quite ready to take the plunge into a music career. The class is open to any instrumentalists who are proficient of their instrument and have good basic understanding of the language and techniques of jazz and improvisation. Age is no barrier! Past class participants have ranged in age from 16 to 65. Everybody leaves their egos and insecuruities at the door and has a great time! Sessions typically run 8 or 10 weeks.
